Clear scope and a stated basis make an honour understandable.
An award should be understandable. Its record should identify the work, programme, season and the group in which it was considered.
We are developing both standards-based recognition and competitive programmes. Where a programme uses ranked places or award proportions, those arrangements will be stated before entries open.
Young creators will be considered within age-appropriate categories. A local group describes the scope of that programme; it does not imply an award from a local authority.
Review methods, evidence requirements and opportunities for review of a decision will be set out in the programme rules.
Review tools and review of decisions
Some programmes may use AI-assisted assessment. Programme rules will explain its role, criteria and human review arrangements, with methods suited to the work.

Three paths, stated before a call opens
Not every recognition asks the same question. The applicable path, evidence and review arrangement must be stated with the programme — not inferred from the look of an award.
Competitive selection
Compares eligible work within a defined cohort. Places, proportions, ties and small-cohort rules must be set before entries open.
Achievement verification
Checks the source, process and result of a claimed achievement. It cannot be substituted by visual appeal or public votes.
A result record should identify
programme and series; work or achievement; contributor and stated role; age or development group; regional scope; season; review path; result; date; record number; and current status. A searchable record is not yet offered, so this is the proposed structure, not a live verification service.
AI assistance and responsibility
If a programme uses AI to organise materials, assist an assessment or draft feedback, the programme rules must say so. A responsible person must confirm the result and state the route for a review request. No panel, score weight or service level is invented here.
