THE WORK · THE REVIEW · THE RECORD

A place for the work in front of you.

From a book or design to an exploration or invention, UniversAwards starts with the work and achievement. It sets out suitable ways to consider different fields, ages and stages of practice.

Find the right place

Start with the field, then the age or development stage. Young Creators is a path across the programme families, not a separate prize category.

Make a clear case

Show the work, the decisions behind it and the contribution that is yours. A strong submission gives context as well as a finished image.

Understand the result

A result should name the programme, group, review path and record fields. A medal or certificate carries that record; it does not replace it.

MATERIAL EXAMPLE

A material example — not a past winner

A book-design submission might show the cover, a sequence of interior pages, binding or material details, the intended reader and the contributor’s role. The same logic helps a reviewer understand a drawing, prototype or research project.

YOUNG CREATORS

Recognising promise.
Encouraging possibility.

For young creators, a drawing, a story or a working model can mark a significant step. The Young Creators programme is being designed around that stage of discovery.

THE APPROACH TO HONOURS

An honour.
A considered distinction.

The discipline, the work and the creator’s stage of development inform a considered assessment. Clear criteria give each honour its meaning.

Standards & honours
01

Choose a programme

Start with the kind of work you have made. Each programme will set out eligible entries, age or experience groups and the materials needed.

02

Show the work clearly

Provide the work and the context needed to understand it. Credit collaborators and explain any tools or assistance where the programme asks for them.

03

Review against the published criteria

Each programme will state its criteria and review method, including any use of AI-assisted assessment or human review.

04

Receive the result

The result will identify the programme, relevant group and season. Where an honour is awarded, its record will explain its scope.
